I am very picky about grocery shopping. In fact, I am what you could call a “recreational” shopper as I like to pick out my own fresh produce and meats. For this reason, I had been hesitant to give up my weekly shopping adventure. However, these are difficult times.
The need to stay at home and limit the amount of trips out has made me reevaluate my shopping habits.
Trying the Rosie Shopping App.
I love Rosauers Supermarkets so I decided to give their shopping and delivery service a try through shop.rosieapp.com and now I am one of Rosie’s new fans. It is easy to navigate the website. Since I use a shopping list template that I have made up by department, it was really easy and quite fast to complete my order. You can choose curbside pick-up or delivery service and the time for each. Usually there is a delivery fee but right now if you ask for delivery, it is free with the Offer Code DDfree.
The best part was I was really impressed with the quality of the items, especially the fresh fruits and vegetables. They were as good as I could have picked out! I received a text telling me when the driver was his way and he was right on time, and courteous leaving my order a safe social distance on my front steps. I really recommend Rosie!
If you are reading this and live out of our area, check out your local grocers in your area to see if others are coming up with creative ways to serve you. It is important in these times to support our local businesses. Rosaurers got its start in Spokane in the early 1940’s as a family owned small business and now has over 20 locations in Washington, Idaho, and Montana with a new location in Hood River, OR. It is a great example of business growth when a small business does the right things for the right reasons.
Again, shop local and enjoy some home cooking.
